Unrivalled quality, suitable for military-grade missions or the struggles of everyday life a Navy Seal watch can be worn just as easily over a wet suit as at a black tie event.

History

Shivas Watches has been in existence in Europe since the early 1970's. It gained worldwide recognition from both its own Shivas brand name and other brands like NAVY SEALS, which has been operating in North America since 1984.
In late 2002, Shivas Watches accepted the challenge of creating a line of watches that would make history and become its hallmark brand. Under the NAVY SEALS label, these timepieces are equipped with high-grade stainless steel, precision watch movements and the best craftsmanship the world has to offer. At Shivas Watches Inc. they have "forged the hands of time". With the "so few, too many" mentality, our designers and engineers work hard to produce a line of watches known to insiders as the "Time Machines". These time devices are made from superior materials. They are constructed according to the strictest quality control standards. Each watch is individually transported and handled with the greatest care.

When creating a line of such calibre, the motivation is to provide their designers and engineers with the tools to work together to bring forth the classic sports watch with additional features. Their goal is to be beyond comparison, to be of unrivalled quality, standing alone in their dedication and concentration to produce a line of timepieces suitable for military-grade missions, or the struggles of everyday life. A NAVY SEALS time machine can be worn just as easily over a wet suit as a black tie event.
Shivas wanted to create a watch that could suit the type of a man who wants to stand apart from the rest, enjoying the distinction and excitement of wearing an item limited in quantity yet universally desired.

Shivas management considers this line of watches the most attractive of its entire production. NAVY SEALS time machines are a unique breed of watches that promises to create new models with more strategic components, impressing the most particular watch connoisseur. Whether you're a pilot, or a businessman, you can be sure that you will never come across a similar timepiece. Each model is made according to a "no repeat model policy", produced in limited quantities of 25 to 50 units.

Who are the NAVY SEALS?

The NAVY SEALS are named after the environments in which they operate: Sea, Air, and Land. They are the foundation of Naval Special Warfare combat forces. Organized, trained and equipped, they conduct a variety of special operation missions in every possible environment. The SEALS trace their history from the elite frogmen of World War II, whose training was extremely demanding, both mentally and physically, producing the world's best maritime warriors.

There are three core pillars that redefine our measures:

  • Men of Character: The nature of our mission requires men who will uphold the Navy's core values: honour, courage, and commitment.
  • Physical endurance: The nature of our mission also requires men who are physically fit and capable in every strategic environment, specializing in nautical combat.
  • Technical skills: Maritime special operations require SEALs who can quickly adapt and master new tasks and environments.

Tactical forces with strategic impact, NAVY SEALS' missions include unconventional warfare, direct action, combating terrorism, special reconnaissance, foreign internal defense, information warfare, security assistance, counter-drug operations, personnel recovery and hydrographic reconnaissance. Although NAVY SEALS personnel comprise less than 1% of the entire U.S. Navy, they pay large dividends on a small investment. Their proven ability to operate across the spectrum of conflict and beyond the boundaries of conventional warfare, along with the ability to provide real time intelligence, enables decision makers to make reasoned judgments in the face of rapidly changing world events.
What sets the Navy SEALS apart from all other military forces is that they are maritime-based, striking from and returning to the seas. The SEALS (Sea, Air, Land) take their name from the environments in which they operate. Their stealth and clandestine methods allow them to conduct multiple missions against targets that larger forces could not approach undetected.

The US Navy established two SEAL teams in January 1962, at the request of President John F. Kennedy, who wished to ensure the country's capability to wage unconventional warfare (UW). Formed entirely with personnel from underwater demolition teams, the SEALS mission was to conduct counter-guerrilla warfare and clandestine operations in maritime and riverine locales.
Post-Vietnam War operations that NAVY SEALS forces have participated in include: URGENT FURY (Grenada 1983), EARNEST WILL (Persian Gulf 1987-1990), JUST CAUSE (Panama 1989-1990), and DESERT SHIELD/DESERT STORM (Middle East/Persian Gulf 1990-1991). In recent years they have also conducted missions in Somalia, Bosnia, Haiti, and Liberia….
